My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It doesn't get any cuter than Bolo! His face will just melt your heart. Bolo is a 2 year old mixed breed. Our best guess is Jack Russell Terrier and Corgi. He is a playful little guy who weighs about 17 lbs. Bolo is great with dogs and showed no reaction when we put him in a room with a cat. He came to us from a local shelter where he was very nervous and not warming up to many people. He loves both of his foster parents, but really seems to like his foster dad just a bit more. He did growl at him when he first came home from work, and after about 20 minutes couldn't get enough of him. He will follow him around and run straight into his legs to try to initiate playtime. He loves to take naps on the couch with his people. Bolo is working on his crate training, he may not have had crate time before going to the shelter. He did sleep soundly in the crate on his first night after it was brought into the bedroom with his foster mom. Bolo can be nervous around new people, and for that reason we are currently not recommending him for a home with young children. We will have more information as we get to know him.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.Bolo
