Candy's Story...
Candy is a Female DSH Tuxedo. Approx. 1 1/2 to 2 yrs. old. She was discovered trying to live with a feral cat colony that did not take a liking to her. She is a sweet, loving, independent girl. Although Candy is not a full time lap kitty, she does seek attention. She is timid with other cats so she would be fine as the only cat in the household. We feel she would be fine with one other non-aggressive cat as she is easily intimidated. Candy is not sure of dogs due to the fact she has not been around them. We also feel she would prefer older children as little ones are too busy for her. Candy loves to sit in windows and watch all the activities going on outside. She has been spayed, tested neg. and is fully vaccinated

Our kitty adoption fee is $250. This includes the kitties shots/negative feline leukemia & aids test and vaccine/spay or neuter/worming and flea and tick protections AS WELL AS TRANSPORT to your area!
Please email for a KITTY SPECIFIC application! Our auto response will send you email info about adopting a dog and a link to our doggy application. Once we receive your request we will send you what you need to apply! Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candy, a Hagerstown Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
