My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Clyde is a miracle dog and he has beat the odds of living with Renal Dysplasia. Most dog are born with this a die at approximately a year old. However, Clyde is 3 years of age and is still doing good considering what he is suffering from. Our vet calls him our miracle dog! One full kidney in him is not functioning at all and the other was not working well when he first came to us, from a back yard where he was starving and going without food and water for many months. Since putting him on a special veterinarian diet, which is relatively inexpensive, his one kidney he has left has improved greatly. Since Clyde has surpassed the normal time of living with Renal Dysplasia, our vet believes he was not born with this condition and that he suffered the lose of one kidney and a dis-functioning second kidney, do to a urinary tract infection that had never been treated. Now that Clyde is getting properly taken care of, his kidney values on his blood work have much improved. We do not know how much time Clyde has left, it could be many years since he has beaten the odds so far. Either way, he deserves so much better then to spend the last amount of time he has left in a kennel. Other then that he is extremely happy dog who LOVES people and belly rubs. He is a volunteer favorite at the kennels but would really love a home of his own or eve a foster home. Please fill out an application if you are interested in giving a home to a special needs dog, he deserves it too.
Born Approx. January 2012
