Please meet Zeke! He is a very handsome 6 year old tan and white English bulldogs who weighs around 49 pounds. Zeke came into our care after being found as a stray. He was pretty underweight, and had some skin issues, but he’s all better and now looking for his furever home!
Zeke is a big fan of long walks, and long naps with his head in your lap. He does enjoy car rides, and prefers to be chauffeured in the back seat. He also LOVES food. He loves food so much he will steal it or fight with other dogs for it. He needs to be fed away from other dogs in the home, and might accidentally catch your fingers if you try handing him a treat – but he catches them in the air like a pro!
When Zeke came to BBR, his tail was badly infected and had been for quite a while. This affected how he sat and walked to the point of changing how his spine was aligned. He was always uncomfortable and reluctant to move much. After surgery on his tail and some chiropractic care, Zeke is a new man! He's full of energy and loves to throw himself on the floor upside down so you can rub his belly. Continued chiropractic care is highly recommended for his comfort. Because of this he also has a new enthusiasm on his walks. A harness with the leash clip on the front is recommended for Zeke, as he can pull some and that isn't good for his back or the person walking him.
Zeke is happy to be wherever you are. He'll hang out on the couch, watch you cooking in the kitchen, stay close to you in the yard, sleep in bed with you, or curl up next to you if you're on the floor. He just really enjoys the company of his people. Zeke does do well with cats and other dogs; he like to play with other dogs, but he does not tolerate “rough housing” well and would be best with more laid back dogs. We are asking that if there are children in the home, they be 12 years old and above. This is because Zeke does have some arthritis, and young children laying on him or stepping on him would not be good.
Zeke is neutered, house and crate trained, and up to date on his shots. He is an absolute wonderful companion dog, and will make his new family so happy! Please consider opening up your heart and giving Zeke his loving furever home!

All of our dogs are kept in private foster homes and for the privacy of our foster families, we do not allow meet and greets until the potential adopter's application has been approved.
