Paloma's Story...
Paloma was a found dog so we are just guessing about her breed, small body shape like a Terrier, but coat and marking like a Shepherd. She is 25# at 3 mos, so she will get bigger, 40-50# is our estimate. She likes other dogs, playful and smart. Paloma is learning leash walking and is in a foster home now where she will get more training. Paloma is getting spayed Feb 16th and will be available for adoption the following weekend. She is microchipped. If you are interested in meeting her, please go to our website, read about our adoption process and complete an application. wimberleywagrescue.org Thank you

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paloma, a Wimberley Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Wimberley, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Wimberley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wimberley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wimberley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wimberley paves the way for another one to be saved.
