Martin's Story...
They call me Medium Martin…often referred to as the loftiest and most wonderful prophet. I may not be a prophet in the biblical sense…but I bet I can still make some valuable prophecies. Here's one for ya….I will be the bestest, most loyal and devoted companion you have ever had. Is that lofty enough? The fact is, I am pretty wonderful, and lofty or not, I bet it will come true. I am an affectionate and loving fella, what you folks often refer to as a 'Velcro dog'…the type that always wants to be right by your side. Yes, I am a big, impressive, and beautiful boy, but sensitive, too…so I ask that you handle me with care. I do very well with other dogs and will enjoy gentle children. I even get along with kitty cats. So, if you’re searching for a new best friend, and you have a soft spot for Shepherds, it doesn't take a prophet to tell you I'm the boy for you. 5 years old-72lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes neuter, microchip, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced-cost training class, free vet exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Martin, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
