My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PENELOPE is a pretty tri-colored Beagle, approximately 2 years old. She weighs between 25-30 lbs. and she is housebroken, crate trained and very well-behaved. She is good with all people, kids, other dogs, and cats. Her coat is very smooth and soft. Penelope loves to be cuddled with and is very affectionate, as well as being silly and funny when being played with. Penelope lives with two other foster dogs as well as my own dogs and kitties. She is very caring and tolerant with my playful 4 month old Puggle puppy, and acts as if she has been a mama before. She also is attached to one of my other foster dogs, a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix. Penelope and her two little doggie friends are often seen sleeping together in a dog bed. Penelope is also friendly with my indoor kitties and does not chase them.
Penelope was picked up as a stray down in Southern Indiana and brought to one of their shelters. Her sweetness and friendliness earned her a ride up to Rover Rescue a few weeks ago. At first, it was thought she might be pregnant, but it doesn't seem like she is, so we are now putting her up for adoption. Penelope does not bark very much, but when she does - when she is either excited to see you coming home, or excited when playing, she sings out that beautiful Beagley serenade - so anyone wanting to adopt her will have to appreciate her musical abilities - they are not excessive - but just about right.
Penelope is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and comes with free micro-chipping and registration. Penelope's adoption fee is $200 (cash or check). If you would like to learn more about Penelope and find out if she is a good match for your family, please contact her foster Mom, Debbie, at 630-272-1109 or email at coachdebbi@aol.com .
