I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Knight's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Knight's Story...
This handsome, solid dog was found on Knight Street in Okotoks and turned into Bylaw. As no owner came forward to claim him, we are starting the process of finding him a suitable home. He is a friendly dog with people, very strong on leash and needs more work, good with some dogs, bossy on others and we're not recommending a home with cats. Knight is on a hypoallergenic food at the moment to help ease irritated ears. UPDATE: Knight really only has one issue ... he is not good with other dogs, cats or deer. He was beautiful and respectful in the house, was very good with visitors and with the foster families children, quiet, affectionate. But outside on leash, behaved poorly around other dogs and required good leash control. He's a one dog kind of guy home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Knight, a High River American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in High River, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in High River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in High River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a High River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in High River paves the way for another one to be saved.
