My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here's Macy! She's about 4 years old and weighs 40 pounds. Her fur is blond/beige/white and she seems to be a mix of beagle, pug, terrier and who knows what else?!? Her crazy looking ears, soulful eyes, and goofy antics make this adorable girl simply irresistible!

She was turned into a shelter in southern Indiana as a stray. Macy had on a collar but the contact phone number on her tags was no longer in service. She looked healthy, but then was diagnosed with heart worms. The underfunded, high-kill shelter just couldn't afford the very expensive heart worm treatment and it seemed like the end for this poor little girl. The dedicated shelter staff realized how special Macy is, worked extra hard to find a way to help her. Finally, they found an awesome benefactor who paid for her life saving treatments! Now she is well and ready to find her new fur-ever home.

Macy is a very loving and sweet young lady. She is crate trained, potty trained and knows how to sit for treats. She LOVES people, kids and chaos! She is quiet when it's time to settle down, but she will warn you when strangers get too close. Macy loves playing hard with other dogs and would make a great companion for an active person or family.

Her favorite game is "IT". You throw it then she chases after it like a crazy dog. She brings it back and wants to play tug with it while making ferocious sounding growls. Chew ropes and tennis balls can be repeatedly chased and survive multiple rounds of "IT". However, stuffed animals and squeaky toys seem to be particularly menacing, and must be destroyed ASAP!

If you are looking for a loving, loyal, and active fury family member, Macy's your gal! To meet Macy, please contact her foster mom at (630) 991-0945 or smktng@gmail.com. Macy is spayed and current on her shots. Her adoption fee is $200.
