Tank came from a bad situation. He needs a special home with someone that is willing to work with him. He appears to be very shy of new people when he first meets them. It is because he is afraid. If you take the time to take him for a walk and give him a few cookies, he realizes that you mean him no harm and he turns into a very loving dog and your best friend. He really is a very loving young man and loves to play. Tank needs a home where he is the only pet. While he does have some mastiff in him, he is definitely mixed with something smaller. He currently weighs about 60 pounds and could be a little bigger when full grown, but he will not be what I would consider to be a large dog. Rescue a forever friend!

About our adoption process: For more information or to request an adoption application (required), please email the dog's foster listed above (no phone calls, please). There is no commitment by submitting the application - it just helps us determine if the pet you are interested in will be a good match for you. Next is a meet and greet which will be arranged with the pet's foster. If there are other dogs in your household, we suggest bringing them to ensure everyone gets along. The standard adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $140 (cash or check) which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip and collar/tags.

About Benji's Buddies Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Benji's Buddies is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of pets into permanent, loving homes.

Benji's Buddies was founded by a small group of volunteers who value every pet and believe in their unique individuality and their ability to enrich the lives of others.

We believe that adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment and that no matter what turns life may take, the responsibility and obligation to that pet as a family member should remain constant. Pets are NOT disposable! They are living beings who feel love, fear and loss. Too often in rescue work, we see the result of human cruelty and negligence. These pets are desperate to be loved though their trust has been broken. We feel they deserve better!

We seek adoptive families who understand the meaning of this commitment and want to give a home to a pet in need. By home, we mean a place of love and security...for the rest of their lives.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU FOR OUR SUPPORTERS:
We recently put out a plea for dog food since we were running very low and donations had slowed. The response from individual supporters was great. Thank each of you so very much. A very special thanks to Merrick Pet Food and their extremely generous donation that assures Benji’s Buddies foster dogs will be well fed for quite some time. We cannot adequately express our appreciation for this wonderful gesture. We encourage you to purchase Merrick Pet Food and support this wonderful company who has made an incredible difference for our rescued dogs. http://www.merrickpetcare.com/
