Chiquita's Story...
My name is Chiquita and here's my story. I am looking for a forever home where I can spend my time with someone who will love me and care for me. I was taken by Animal Control because my previous owner did not take care of me at all. I was living in unsanitary conditions and not being fed much. I do have diabetes and because of the lack of care, it caused me to lose my sight but that doesn't slow me down much. I am very sweet to people despite my neglect and am looking for a home that will provide a tender touch, warm bed and lots of TLC. I just had a full teeth cleaning where I lost 27 teeth. If someone is willing to come forward to foster me, Four Paws is willing to help with my insulin, needles etc. Won't you give me a chance to show you how special and sweet I really am. If you aren't able to foster, you can make a donation in my name to Four Paws to help cover my medical expenses. Please contact Rebecca at 619-851-1129 or e-mail Elizabeth at (thomasandfriends@cox.net). Thanks

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chiquita, a El Cajon Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
