Baxter's Story...
***Yeah Baxter was adopted by one of the families that had originally adopted one of his brothers. Way to go Baxter**** Hi, I'm Baxter and I am an 11 month old hound mix puppy. I was one of 7 puppies born on June 5th 2009 to my mom Callie. We were born in the shelter and then came to Four Paws when we were only a few days old. I am now a nine month old pup who is looking for my new forever home. I am looking for someone that is willing to make a lifelong commitment to me. Like all puppies, I will need lots of love, patience, and socialization. In return, I will be your lifelong friend and companion. I am good with other dogs and kids. I love to play and would love another four-legged friend to romp and play with. I am very sweet, affectionate and love to snuggle. Please won't you take me home today? Please contact Rebecca at 619-851--1129 or e-mail Elizabeth at thomasandfriends@cox.net to find out more about me. I am neutered, vaccinated and chipped. I'm waiting for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baxter, a El Cajon Hound (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
