Stella's Story...
*UPDATE: Stella has found her forever home!!* Stella is a 1 yr old bluetick coonhound looking for her forever home. Stella has a lot of energy, she does well with dogs of all sizes, though they have to be dogs that don't mind her zaniness and bouncing around. With a little bit of patience and leash training, Stella will be a perfect walking, hiking, or running companion in an active household. She can be a little nervous and shy in unfamiliar situations, and she really just needs a home where she can settle down and feel comfortable. Please contact if you would like to know more about Stella. This is a courtesy cross-posting for our friends at Arizona Beagle Rescue Club (BARC). You can learn more about Stella and BARC at:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a El Cajon Bluetick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
