Bentley's Story...
Most puppies are a mix of sugar and spice and that’s me. I am super friendly and affectionate so I like attention galore. I love people including children and get along just fine with other dogs and even cats. But being a pup, I have some learning to do. I have not quite mastered my housetraining but I do know to go to the door and whine to get out so I am almost there. And I will need some proper chew toys because I am teething. I do pretty well on a leash and I am good in a crate. So it will just take a little more time and consistency to get me to the really good dog place. I like learning so it will be easy for you and then I reward you with puppy love. My estimated adult weight is about 35 – 40 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bentley, a Houston Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
