Allyssa's Story...
Allyssa is a Tortie Point Siamese. Her picture does not do her justice....she is beautiful. She loves her treats, you can see some leftover canned food on her nose. She was born around Oct. 15th so she is still very young. She and her brother Alec were left in front of a shelter in a cardboard box. They were both very frightened but once they get to know you and you earn their trust, they are very sweet. Allyssa purrs when you pet her. Because of her timid nature she would probably not do well with children. Who can blame her for being so shy after being abandoned in a small sealed box on a cold winter night. Allyssa can be adopted for $75.00 or you can adopt her with her bother and get them both for $125.00. Both are spay/neutered, current on vaccinations and tested for feline leukemia. They will also be current on flea and worm treatments. An application is required prior to visiting them at their foster home in Shawnee. Call 913-422-1911 or e-mail and one will be e-mailed to you. Allyssa's adoptor will also receive a free well exam at one of our participating Vets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Allyssa, a Lenexa Siamese kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Lenexa, or seeking a Siamese kitten from a breeder in Lenexa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lenexa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lenexa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lenexa paves the way for another one to be saved.
