Amor's Story...
Amor and her siblings, Elijah, Cajun and Bianca came from Kansas City Kansas Animal Control. They are bouncing baby kittens, very playful, very friendly and very VERY CUTE!!! These guys were born around Feb. 19th 2009 so they are still very small. We do not release our kittens until they have been spayed or neutered and we can safely do that once they weigh two pounds which happens about ten weeks of age. These guys should be available to go to their new home around the end of April, possibly sooner. We are currently accepting applications. Once your application is approved we do require a $25.00 deposit to hold the kitten. The adoption fee for these guys is $85.00 or you can adopt two for $150.00. These guys will be at Mariposa Clinic this weekend if you would like to meet them. If you would like to get an application so you can get pre-approved just call 913-422-1911 or e-mail

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amor, a Lenexa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lenexa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Lenexa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lenexa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lenexa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lenexa paves the way for another one to be saved.
