My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you would like more information about Jelly or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to lfkemink@gmail.com

Are you looking for a dog that wants nothing more than to sit with you and watch TV? If you like evenings on the couch then you've met just the right girl for you. Jelly is 6 months old and 12 lbs. Our best guess of breed is a chi-weenie dog but she'd like to describe herself as a lap dog. Her fur is so soft that we think Cruella DeVille would want this puppy.

Peanut Butter and Jelly were found under a house in the Heights. The neighbors around here say that often puppies are dumped in the area when their owners don't want them anymore. We posted online in case someone wanted them back but we haven't found any owners. Where ever they came from, both girls have been pretty well house trained (no accidents when gated in the kitchen, even overnight for 8 hours) but haven't had the chance for much socialization. Both puppies are reactive to other dogs so would like to be in a home by themselves or very carefully introduced to other dogs. They LOVE humans of all types though - big ones, small ones, girl ones and boy ones. For all, they will roll over for a belly rub or snuggle.

PB & J were the stars of the vet’s office when they went in for their first appointment. They sat calmly even when getting shots. They have been treated for fleas, heartworms, stomach worms and a first round of puppy shots. They are old enough to get spayed and will need to do so either at their foster home or immediately after finding their forever home.
