My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rhett, the gentle giant!!! He is a 3.5 year old brown and white, male English bulldog. This easy-going guy is an owner-surrender and has handled all of the changes in his life like a true champ! Rhett loves to play fetch and tug, but is also perfectly content snuggling with you on the couch. He plays well with other dogs, but loves playing with humans even more. Rhett loves to follow his humans around the house and does a whole body wiggle when given affection. He is house-trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. Rhett also walks very well outside on a leash and is friendly to other dogs/humans passing by! When Rhett gets nervous, he can be a human humper, but this has started to decrease as he has settled into his new routine.

Rhett is currently carrying about 15 pounds of extra weight; too much people food! As a result, he is on a diet with weight loss kibble. At first he needed encouragement – hand feeding a handful at time, without distractions – but now reliably chows down at dinnertime. His adorable wrinkly mug will need daily fold cleaning. He is otherwise a healthy and active “little” guy. Going up and down a full staircase is a new experience for Rhett. He is doing very well and is now quite independent with carpeted stairs, but should still be spotted/supervised when going up and down uncarpeted stairs. Rhett’s loving and laid back personality will have his “furever” family falling in love with him instantly!!

Adoption donation for Rhett is $600. For more info on Rhett, please visit this link: www.buckeyebulldogrescue.org/sunset.html
