Say hello to Kiki Dee!
Thanks to a generous grant from Maddie's Fund, Kiki’s adoption fee is WAIVED!
Kiki is the epitome of a living breathing cartoon character! Kiki is a mix of a boxer and bulldog. She has the typical bulldog “pout” and if you see her play you will certainly understand why we think she has some boxer blood in her! She is a silly, sweet girl who is very tolerant even with rude little puppies! She LOVES to play fetch, loves to swim, wrestle with her foster siblings or her buddies at daycare, and snuggle up with you at night under the blankets. She even loves cats!
Kiki is fully crate trained but can also be left out without any issues. She weighs less than 50 pounds. She would do great in a home with older kids since sometimes Kiki loves to pretend she's a pogo stick. She can jump a 4 foot fence with ease so her ideal home also should have a completely fenced-in (6' high minimum) yard. Kiki is obsessed with her balls! BALL BALL BALL is her life! She will play fetch NON STOP with you...she also LOVES her pool! So Kiki would do best in an active home or a home that will allow her to go to daycare a couple days a week. She loves School of Bark!
Kiki is being fostered in southeastern Wisconsin. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application (from adopters within a 2-hour drive of the city of Milwaukee) MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.

You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
