Toby's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Toby's Story...
I’m a small guy because I was born into a house that had a lot of cats to care for and it was hard for my people to take care of us all. I know they tried their best, though. I was taken from that home and placed with a foster. Boy oh boy, the attention my fosters give me and pets and food on a regular basis is a dream come true! The only downside is they like to visit this person named “Vet”.

I’m still a bit nervous that this amazing life is going to end, but my fosters tell me that my fears will fade away when I find a forever home that is stable. They tell me that I’m a super cat and will make someone very happy. I hope they’re right - I really do enjoy rewarding people with purrs and head butts!.

I AM …
A great supervisor, I like to follow people around
So happy when I get attention that I drool a little bit
Overwhelmed by space, so I take my time to adjust to new places
A great supervisor, I’ll follow people around all day
Ok with cats but rather scared of dogs, they sound strange!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
