My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Galen is an approximately three-year-old male border collie from Northwest Iowa where we were told his owner had to enter a retirement home and could not bring them along. He is a very happy and friendly and loves people and playing with toys he is crate trained he has one blue eye and one brown night very striking, he tries to entice his foster's older dog to engage in play but that is going to take persistence on Galen's part.

After an initial accident in the house which is not uncommon in a arriving in a new environment he has done very well with house training and he walked well on lead and does very well riding in a car. We are noticing some anxiety issues like with a loud truck going down the street or a thunderstorm and he starts looking for a hiding hole, the application of a Thunder Shirt could help alleviate this problem and we will try this, apart from an initial food aggression with our older dog which is being worked with he gets along well with another dog. At the time of the writing of this bio Galen has been in his foster home for less than a week we will be adding to this bio the more we get to know him.

Galen is being fostered in Des Moines.

Galen does not do well with cats.
