Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Emma. I am a very pretty, small to medium sized cocker girl, about 2 to 3 years old. I was found as a stray by some nice folks who took me in and tried to find my owner. They couldn't keep me, so they took me to a nearby NC shelter. A CCR volunteer found out about me and transport was arranged to bring me into rescue.
I am heartworm negative, recently spayed and an active, friendly girl. When I first meet you, it takes a few minutes for me to warm up and then I am a happy cocker girl. I love to be held, so some TLC time with you would be great. I am good with people and very child friendly. I am not dog socialized and don't do well around them, so I will need someone to work with me on doggie socialization skills to help me feel comfortable. An example is: Interaction with others at the vet is difficult for me when dogs get to close......so you would need to be very cautious and not let that happen until I learn how to be with others. With that being said, I am looking for a forever home where I will be the only dog and can be your sweet baby girl . I enjoy love and attention and I would love to spend quality time with you. I will be a great best friend, wonderful companion and a good walking partner, but again, you will need to be cautious with me around other dogs.
