Charlie's Story...
Charlie is just the sweetest! This wonderful guy is a year old red tabby looking for his purr-fect family! He has an incredibly sweet and loving personality and starts purring the second you walk through the door! He adores affection and once you start petting him, he'll follow you around for more. He is pretty relaxed and mellow, preferring to hang around on your lap or next to you on the couch rather than run around. He is young so he does have his spurts of energy where he will want to go chasing after balls or other toys that rattle and stalk feather wands, but for the most part he seems to just want to take it easy. Charlie does well with other cats and he wouldn't mind having another friend in his new home. He gets along with kids of any age as well! He is microchipped, neutered, and current on his vaccinations so all he needs now is you! He's available at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook so swing by and fall in love with this guy today! We're open daily from 12-6.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Benbrook Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
