Barnum's Story...
Barnum is a sweet old man seeking a quiet home complete with fenced yard and comfy dog bed. This boy really should be an inside family member for the few remaining years of his life. He is dog, cat, and kid friendly but must be fed privately as he has some food obsession issues after coming to us pretty emaciated. He is a silly boy and gets short spurts of puppy like playfulness. He will flop onto his back and wiggle back and forth on the grass and sometimes run really fast for very short distances. He is about 11 or 12 years old so he has to lie down afterwards! He also has heartworms so his breathing gets labored after too much exertion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barnum, a Union Springs Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in Union Springs, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Union Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
