Captain is a 2 ½ year old red and rust Doberboy with a docked tail and natural ears. He’s a big burly boy weighing in at about 95 lbs. but in his mind, he’s puppy size! He’s a very good natured and sweet boy who likes to work for treats; he LOVES to please his humans. To see this happy boy who does tricks on his own, check out his video @: http://youtu.be/VfJ_K1geC3Y . Captain likes to use his paws, knows sit, wait & down. After given a chance to run and play in a fenced in yard to expend some of his energy, he can better enjoy a nice walk. He lives with another Dobe and a Fox Terrier in his foster home. He would enjoy a canine companion of comparable size to play with. He also lives with two cats but he is extremely interested in them and will chase them if given the chance. He should only go to a home with either no cats or those who are dog savvy and who have places to go where he cannot get to them. He is crate trained but will voice his displeasure when first put in. He is a very friendly Dobe but should not go to a home with small children due to his size and exuberant energy. He loves to run around the yard with a toy in his mouth. He will chase a ball and sometimes even bring it back to you in exchange for a treat! I think that there is a cuddle bug hiding beneath his big frame just waiting to come out.
