Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PEE WEE Male Chihuahua DOB 2013 Contact: Twylasfriends@yahoo.com
PEE WEE is a sweet lap loving pup that will be your shadow, and forever best friend. He stays quiet most of the time, but thinks he's a tough guy around large dogs at first but soon warms up to them. Enjoys fetch with his squeaky ball and tug-o-war with his old sock. He will crawl into your lap and bury his head under your arm or in the couch, wherever he can to get a good snuggle. He listens well when called for, and when to behave better. Sweet Peewee is great with kids, he would never hurt a human, especially a child. He's territorial like many of his breed and will chase bugs, lizards, cats and squirrels all the same. He is scared of cats but barks anyway. He was found abandoned in a parking lot and rescued by a kind young woman. Since he has shown nothing but gratitude.
This special little guy has an old injury, a fracture to his rear leg which has fused and a dislocated femur at the hip joint. Most likely as a result of a road accident. Despite being able to manage very well with two injured legs he needs surgery, a Femoral Head Osteotomy (FHO) procedure. Pee Wee is 99% housetrained, vaccinated, neutered and micro chipped and weighs 10lbs. He is light heartworm positive and on the 'soft treatment' taking Heartguard monthly. He should come back to negative in 12 - 18 mths. PEE WEE needs a home and someone to love on him and nurse him after his surgery please contact twylasfriends@yahoo.com
If you can help us to help PEE WEE please donate to his surgery at www.twyla.org website and click on the PAYPAL icon. We would be very grateful for any donation no matter how small.
*****If you would like more information about the dog featured above, be sure to send a note to the "Contact Person." This is the person fostering the dog and they will be happy to answer any questions you have. Please don't just show up at Adoption Day expecting every dog to be there. We are limited by the number of volunteers who can help at each Adoption Day.
Also, in sending your note to the Contact Person, be sure to include information about yourself, family, home, yard, fence, other pets, work situation, and pet accommodations. This information will help us make the best match between you and one of our dogs***
