Dopey's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Dopey's Story...
Hi! I'm Dopey. I came to the rescue as a small pup and was adopted shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, my new family couldn't provide me with the exercise and activity that I need as Jack Russell Terrier breed. They felt that I needed a home with an active family of kids and other pets because I have a lot of energy to play and love to be outside running around. Jack Russell Terriers are known for their activity and can make great agility dogs! I am about 7 months old (As of 2/2015) and I will always be small (Less than 25 lbs.) I would love to come home with your family today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dopey, a Macon Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Macon, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Macon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Macon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Macon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Macon paves the way for another one to be saved.
