Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rose! Rose is a standard American Eskimo Dog with a great spirit and personality! She is sweet and smart and gives kisses! She loves her plush toys! Rose will be ready for adoption in March! Rose is enjoying the good life now, in her former life someone evidently got very angry and threw her out of a window from a third story apartment building in Chicago. Witnesses gave authorities some information, like how she had been left to lay on the cold ground for three days before someone called the animal control. Our rescue got called, we took her immediately to our vet, where she went for x-rays, MRI and immediately taken to surgery with a broken back. Despite the cruel and unusual treatment, Rose is a cheery trooper and seems to hold no ill feelings towards people. She is healing beautifully, walks and stands up on back legs to give kisses, and more! Rose will need a home with no small children and no large dogs. Rose will have some limitations on stairs, longer walks, and jumping up and off furniture and such. Rose's back is compromised, vertebra has pins, we are trying to guard against re-injury. Rose is relatively quiet, will bark when excited or when company arrives. Rose has also learned to use potty pads during her healing in this cold weather. We would also prefer a local adopted for Rose, her neurosurgeon is in Chicago. Rose will go to get spayed soon, then after healing will be ready for adoption!
