Say hello to Chicagoland Eskie Rescue's Franklin ~ Franklin is a male Corgi-Papillon mix and the sweetest boy ever! Franklin is young, friendly, energetic, playful, loves toys and other dogs. Franklin likes to take walks and is good on leash. Franklin is housebroken, but as with any newly adopted dog, please expect an accident or two during his adjustment period should you adopt him! Franklin is also crate trained and rides well in the car. Franklin is looking for a home with another similar sized dog or one somewhat smaller, and as playful as he is. Franklin was found as a stray after most likely being hit by a car, then had FHO surgery to repair his back leg, therefore an active, larger, stronger dog will be too risky for re-injury. A senior dog already in the home is not recommended, because Franklin is very active and puppy-like, he does not understand why another dog would not want to play with him. Franklin loves children, so Franklin will also make a wonderful family dog, keeping in mind the couple of precautions to keep his leg healthy.
We do not know exactly what breed mix Franklin is, we do not do DNA testing, hahaha, we guess! ~ We are calling him an Eskie-Corgi mix, but most likely there are more than two breeds in his background ~ all you really need to know is that he is a wonderful dog, a delight to have around and completely adorable! Franklin is truly a happy, happy dog! NEW pics soon too!
