Athena's Story...
Name: Athena
Color: Fawn and White
Breed: Black Mouth Cur and Pit Bull Terrier Mix
Gender: Female
Age: 4 Years 2 Months
Athena is a sweet, shy young girl who needs a forever home.
Big fan of: Athena is super sweet and just wants to please. She is very food motivated and will be easy to train. She will require a ton of exercise and she would make an excellent jogging companion. This is the type of outlet she will need to keep you and her happy. She is a very active dog that needs a very active home.
Dream Home: It would be a good idea to crate train her in her new home as this will help with some of her separation anxiety. Athena could live with a mellow male canine who can keep her company. Athena is too much for cats so a no cat home would be best. Athena would do best in a home with adults only or kids in their mid to upper teens.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Bellingham Black Mouth Cur/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black Mouth Cur/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Black Mouth Cur/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black Mouth Cur/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Black Mouth Cur/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
