There’s no sweeter boy than Luke! He was found tied to the door of a church. He is affectionate without being clingy and looks to be smiling all the time when he looks at you with those big eyes of his. He is also SUPER smart! Luke enjoys playing with other dogs, but given his quiet demeanor he can sometimes end up being pushed around a bit. He is crate and house trained. He gets along with everyone at the rescue. He would probably do better in a home with other dogs if he's home alone often. He loves people and getting attention and has been especially fond of older children at our meet and greets. This boy is so eager to please, has a great disposition, and deserves a lifetime of happiness with his special person. Is that you? Luke is a German Shepherd / Hound mix, weight about 55 pounds and his approximate DOB is 2/15/2013.

Luke is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, neutered and on heart worm and flea/tick preventatives. The first step in our adoption process for this handsome boy is to submit your application which is available online at hillcrestanimalrescue.org. Click on "Animals" and then "Ready to Adopt - Application".

About Hillcrest Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Hillcrest Animal Rescue is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to saving as many homeless, neglected and abused animals as our resources allow. All of our rescues are placed in loving foster homes and receive thorough medical care. Each companion animal is heartworm tested and treated if positive; placed on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention; altered and micro chipped. Every animal receives a full complement of vaccines depending on risk and immune status. Chronic pain is not acceptable with animals in our care. We will take whatever measures are necessary to ensure that all of our animals are living free of pain and disease. To summarize our belief in veterinary care, any animal at Hillcrest Rescue receives the same level of veterinary care as if she or he were the only animal we have.
