Dottie's Story...
Dottie is a lovely Dalmatian mix with a sweet temperament. She is between 2 and 3 years old and weighs 39.6 pounds. Dottie is full of energy and needs large spaces where she can run and meander around. She is not aggressive or territorial and is good with other dogs, even sharing her toys. Dottie is also good with cats. Rescued by our sister organization in Mexico, Dottie has been spayed, dewormed and is current on all her vaccinations. If you are looking for a great companion to be part of your active family, Dottie is the gal for you. She has made her way to Canada looking for her forever home and is receiving free transition boarding by Pet Pampering an alternative boarding and daycare on the Saanich Peninsula. Where social dogs have too much fun! If you think Dottie is for you, contact us at info.pvca@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dottie, a Victoria Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian for sale in Victoria, or seeking a Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Victoria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Victoria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Victoria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian breeders who help with Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Victoria paves the way for another one to be saved.
