Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I am Valentine. I was at a dog rescue run by an elderly lady who let things get so out of control that she ended up with over 150+ dogs on her property. The lady did her best, but she did not have enough time for all of us, and some were neglected. I have had very little human contact, so I am not sure what I am supposed to do. My paperwork says I'm a Beagle/Dachshund mix but who really knows! I'm a medium sized girl, around 35 pounds, who won't be getting any bigger! Perfect size if I do say so myself....
My sister Willow and I were rescued together and she has already gotten a home. I am currently in a loving foster home with other dogs, cats and people but I am is still scared of people when I first meet them. It may take me a few minutes but I do warm up! I tend to stay in the room where I am placed unless you move me somewhere else. I have not had any accidents in the house and I am fine with being in my crate for longer periods of time. Sometimes, when I'm outside, I'm not sure when I'm supposed to go back in unless the other dogs do. I am looking for a home with a person or people that will understand that it will take time and patience to help me get over my shyness and see what a GREAT dog I am!
XOXOXO-
Valentine
