Chloe's Story...
Chloe is a female lab mix born about 2/2011. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She gets along well with other dogs and kids. Chloe's story is a sad one. Her so called owner dumped her off on the streets to fend for herself, while trying to survive the best she could some mean person shot her in the eye. She is now blind in her left eye, but this doesn't slow her down at all. She is the happiest girl. I guess she counts her blessings that she is still alive. We are now looking to give this baby a fairy tale ending(a home of her own).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Baton Rouge Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
