My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Canyon…a 9 week old mixed breed pup. His mom is a 55 pound lab/boxer mix, and his dad is reportedly a Great Pyrenees. He has a short, smooth coat like a lab, but the face and white fur (and double dew claws) of a Great Pyrenees. Canyon currently weighs about 18 pounds, and is one of the larger, shyer, males of this litter. We have found that he loves to have his chest or belly rubbed, and he will stand there patiently for as long as you keep rubbing!

Because we do not know what size, weight, shape, or appearance Canyon will grow into as an adult, only those willing to take pot luck need apply. He is a typical puppy, full of puppy sweetness and puppy energy. Because he is still young, he should not be left alone for long hours and will need someone in his new family to help him with housebreaking, continue his socialization and general obedience. His adoption fee of $375 includes: vet exam, distemper combo and bordetella vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick preventative, heart worm preventative, microchip and neuter.

You can meet Canyon at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750). Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.
