My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB October 31, 2009
Reyna was brought into the shelter in early November 2014 with two adorable kittens who have been adopted and she has been living with her foster mom ever since.

About Reyna: I have a sleek physique with a Smokey black coat and golden eyes. I may be a little hesitant of you at first – I might even hiss. But once I get to know you, I will be your best friend. I will rub up against you, sit on your knee and let you pet me. I will even lay in your arms while you rub my belly. I could even nuzzle through your hair.

I need a family without young children who understands that I will need a little time to get used to my new surrounds. It took my foster mom and I a couple of weeks to get to know one and other. My new human companion will need to be very patient with me at first and let me come around on my own terms.

I am very inquisitive and like to see everything that is new in my surroundings. If you throw a ball back and forth, I will gladly chase it. A window for me to keep an eye on your neighbours provides me with endless hours of entertainment.

I like kibble with a large bowl of cold water – I have not found a wet food that I truly like so far.

I am now ready for my forever home. As I am a diva, a new home without others cats and dogs would be ideal. My biggest wish is to be adopted and to be the centre of your attention.

Reasons to adopt a BLACK CAT:

Black cats absorb heat and are therefore perfect for cuddling with,
When next to you black cats make you look thinner,
Black cats never look dirty,
Black goes with everything so you will always match,
Black cats always look presentable on formal occasions,
Black hair is invisible on your black coat,
Black cats look more distinguished as they age because their grey hair is more visible.
