I am a special needs pet, up to date with shots, declawed, and good with cats.

Nash's Story...
Nash is a handsome elderly gentleman who could also double as a fill in on "The Walking Dead". You see, Nash came to us with an infected upper lip, so to make him more comfortable it had to be surgically removed. He is much happier now, and it really does not bother him; We think it adds character! Nash was originally found over the winter, hiding near someones house to stay warm. He was lucky enough to survive, even though he came to us severely dehydrated and emaciated. However, Nash still has a ways to go. Although he is healthier now, he is still underweight and his coat is all sorts of unkempt. We truly believe a warm home with a lot of TLC is the best thing for him. He is at least 8yrs old, but could be even older than that. Nash is a total sweetheart and really enjoys attention. He also seems fine with other cats, as he just ignores them. At some point he had to have had a home, as he is front declawed. Now he is just looking for a cozy place to crash for however long he has left. We have him as "special needs" simply because he is an older guy and we do not know how much time he has left. Taking on a senior pet is one of the most selfless things a person could do, and we know Nash would be forever grateful.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nash, a Broadway Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Broadway, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Broadway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Broadway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Broadway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Broadway paves the way for another one to be saved.
