Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Cinnamon. She is 10-12 years old. Cinnamon is an adorable little dachshund who came to RCHS after her owner passed away. Cinnamon has lots of love to give! When first meeting someone she is a little timid but she quickly becomes very attached to her person. Once bonded she only wants to be with her person and often gets anxious when she is left alone. During these times she does not chew or destroy anything but she may cry and howl. Although she is a tiny little dog that size-wise might seem like a good apartment dog (she is less than 10 lbs) her big voice would not be appreciated by the apartment neighbors. Since coming to RCHS, Cinnamon has done well with cats but should not go to a home with other dogs. We have not tested her with young children. Cinnamon would do best in a quiet home with someone who is retired, partially retired, or works from home. She does not know how to go up and down stairs so needs to be carried. She is pee-pad trained and, once a routine is established, house trained but she does not ask to go outside. If you are looking for a small dog that will absolutely adore you, greet you after short absences with her wiggling long body, wagging tail and sweet kisses and then please consider Cinnamon. You won’t be disappointed – she is a tiny dog that gives BIG love.
If you are interested in meeting Cinnamon, please fill out the application found here: http://www.rchsks.org/our-animals/adopt-a-pet/adopting-a-dog. You will be asked to complete a few forms. By filling out these forms, you are not committing yourselves to the pet you're interested in; it's a screening process that must be completed before you meet the dog. Please do this BEFORE calling. Our voicemail is only checked periodically, and you can reach us much faster through our website. Thank you!
