Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lanie is our beautiful Border Collie mix of 3 years old. She is a large dog of about 52 pounds. She is a sweet dog who is in need of a good home. She has had lots of training and knows her basic commands. She loves to play ball, and she absolutely loves treats. Her energy levels are in the high range, but once she calms down she is great. She has been at the shelter for over a year and has some anxiety issues, but once in a home she would make a great pet. She loves to run around and play fetch, so her owner needs to be ready to play ball. Lanie would make a great running companion, and she would also enjoy agility. With her energy levels as high as they are, it is recommended that she have a large yard where she can go out and do her dog stuff. She is really a great dog who just needs an understanding owner willing to take the time to work with her every now and then.

Lanie is very selective when it comes to dogs, and we recommend she go to a home as an only dog. It is unknown whether she gets along with kids or cats. She is affectionate, independent, confident, athletic, and active. She loves food, and toys. She has had several weeks of training and has done well in each of her classes. She could benefit from some agility classes for her high energy. She needs to go to a home that is willing to work on her behavior and obedience as much as possible, but also willing to love her and care for her too.
