Candy's Story...
Cooper, Conner, Cassie, Candy and Carlie and part of nine beautiful pups rescued from a kill shelter in TN. Mom is a pointer and dad is unknown and probably more than one. Three of the pups had double dew claws on the back feet that indicates Great Pyrennes. Conner is also large but he has slightly longer ears and quite a few wrinkles suggesting maybe Bloodhound. Cooper has one blue eye and some of them have more colors which lends to some aussie contribution. All three of the girls are fat and healthy with big feet. We think all of them will be 60 lbs and some will be larger. All of the puppies are well socialized, friendly and playful. A few are very close to being housetrained. They are now 13 weeks old with two sets of shots. They will get their third shot and be ready to travel to their new homes on 2/27. If you would like to make one of these awesome babies a permanent member of your family, PLEASE contact lorainecm@comcast.net or omlc7@hotmail.com for fastest response. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candy, a Harrisonburg German Shorthaired Pointer/Great Pyrenees puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer/Great Pyrenees for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer/Great Pyrenees puppy from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer/Great Pyrenees breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer/Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
