Ruben's Story...
Ruben is a 6 yr old neutered Puggle (Pug/Beagle mix) who was given to rescue (with his ½ sister Fiona) because the family had a new baby and parents felt they did not have enough time for family pets. He has an awesome sweet playful personality and is very outgoing. Ruben is great with small children and he has lived in a home with a now 3 year old and newborn. He has had some kind of injury which causes him to walk with a slight limp. We have full vet records and our vet has checked him out thoroughly and the vet says there no issues, pain or long term health effects. He is current on all vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworms and been kept on flea and tick preventative. Ruben would be a wonderful addition to any family wanting to give him the forever home he deserves. If you would like more information on RUBEN, please contact Jacque at hahsfostermom@earthlink.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruben, a Overland Park Pug/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Beagle for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Pug/Beagle dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Beagle breeders who help with Pug/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
