Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rupert is a smart and awesome dude! He truly is your best buddy and one real handsome guy. Rue would really enjoy a forever family that would like to take him for a nice jog or a good walk. And Rue says a few tosses of the ball wouldn’t hurt either :) He also likes to play with his doggie foster brother and sister and is good around his toddler human foster brother. Rue would love to head to the lake with you, do a little fishing and maybe a little romping around. He would also love to learn cool tricks and commands because he is super smart and with a little consistency he can learn anything! Rue hopes he can find a forever family that wants to engage with him not only with training and exercise but also with lots of love and cuddling. He may be an active type of guy but he knows how to settle right in for a good cuddle and a yummy bone. He is house trained and learning his basic commands. Rupert is very sweet, 200 percent adorable and in those eyes is a real gentle soul. He will make a wonderful addition to his forever family. Rupert is estimated to be about 9 months old and weighs about 40 pounds. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday March 21, 2015, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
