Lenny's Story...
My name is Lenny and I'm about 8 months old with lots of energy! I was living with a family who said they didn't have time for me and surrendered me to a scary shelter. But, on the morning my time was up, I was rescued! They took me to the vet and neutered me, gave me all my vaccinations, heartworm tested me (negative!) and microchipped me so I would never get lost. I even got a bath for the first time. I am a ladies man and am just starting to trust men again. I met some kids and I think they are OK too. I am in a foster home being taken care of for the first time - but I would love to be a part of a family that will love me forever. If you meet me I know you will want to take me home! Just email my rescue group to ask about me today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lenny, a Terrell Dachshund/Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Italian Greyhound for sale in Terrell, or seeking a Dachshund/Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Terrell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Terrell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Terrell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Dachshund/Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Terrell paves the way for another one to be saved.
