Ceres & Marley's Story...
Ceres came into animal control with 6 other kittens when they were all about 5-6 weeks old. He is a cute little white and black kitten with two different colored eyes. 4 of his siblings are already pre-adopted and the other two are in a foster home together.

Marley is the gray kitten and also came from animal control. He wasn't feeling too good when he was there but we got him all the meds he would need and he is now feeling so much better! Because he was all alone, Ceres is now in the same foster home keeping him company. These two adorable babies already love each other and are looking for their forever home where they can grow up together!

Kittens that grow up with other kittens in their homes have better behavior and social skills when they are older. Because of this, these two will only be adopted together as a pair. All of our cats are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and have had general wellness exams prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ceres & Marley, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
