Bellamy's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Sacramento- Bellamy (French name meaning "good friend") is a 10 year old neutered male who weighs about 15 lbs. According to his CKC paperwork, his DOB is 2/10/05 and his name was CK's Midnight Magic. He was surrendered to the shelter by his owner who has had him since he was a puppy, because he wasn't getting along with her other male dog.  He gets along with some male dogs but not others- if they are mellow and give him space he is great with them.  He also guards food so cannot be free fed. Other than that, he is pretty fantastic! He is housetrained (hates crates), loves walks and car rides. He is very healthy for his age and you would think he is about half his age. Knows several tricks and clearly he is adorable! He is neutered , is up to date on vaccines (rabies, dhpp and bordetella) and is microchipped.  You can find our process and apply online at:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bellamy, a Sacramento French Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a French Bulldog for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a French Bulldog dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even French Bulldog breeders who help with French Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
