My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there!

My name is Hera.

I am about 7-8 years young!

I am a beautiful black girl with a goofy and loving personality.

Which is a blessing considering I was found wondering the streets starving and in lots of medical needs. I have been working hard at becoming well enough to go to my forever home.

My skin is so much better since I have been given medicine for the horrible yeast infection I had all over.

My foster program arranged for me some surgery on my eyelids that turned inward, which itched my eyes so bad, boy and I am glad to have that over with!

My foster mom says that I am so special. She is constantly in awe at my behavior and talents.

Such as: Sit, stay, and shake your hand.

I never ever potty in the house!

Since I have never tried to destruct a thing and I behave like a proper lady, my foster mom has never had to crate me.

I love to play outside for short periods of time, but I prefer to be around my humans. I love every one I meet, but because of my eyes, I take a few minutes to adjust and then I am a friend forever.

I walk very well on a leash but I do pull a bit, but when I am reminded, I follow instruction well.

I get along with dogs and would love to have a home that has other dogs that like to play, or I can be your only focus, both are fine for me.

I also have been eating well and gaining weight slowly.

I am looking so much better that in fact my Dr says I am ready for adoption.

I am a sweet lady with lots and lots of love to share.

My journey has been long and I am looking forward to sharing the story with you.

As you can see from the pictures and videos, I still have spunk and lots of character! Look forward to hearing from you!
