Noah's Story...
Noah came into the Shelter's care when a kind person wrote us a letter asking us to please help with three male cats that were left outside when their owner moved away two years ago and asked a neighbor to feed them. Their rescuer noticed they were getting thin and took over their feeding, but now she is moving and didn't want to leave them to starve and couldn't adopt them because she has 10 cats of her own. We'll post more about him once he settles in and isn't so frightened.

To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out our Cat and Kitten Adoption Application: http://www.medfieldshelter.com/cat_applications/new

The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers and all visits to the Shelter must be scheduled in advance to insure one of our volunteers is at the shelter to meet you. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125. Our kitten adoption fee (cats up to 6 months old) is $160 for a single kitten or $260 for a pair. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, combo testing and spaying/neutering when old enough.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Noah, a Medfield Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Medfield, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Medfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
