My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When we are asked about a special rescue pup that is snuggly, sweet and very devoted, we can't help but think of Simba. His smile is shining...and is followed by a wagging tail and a sweet kiss. Simba's foster knows it's morning when Simba's little head comes under the blanket...getting closer and closer..and then a huge kiss of love. This curious and really, really smart approximately 2 - 3 year old, 22 lb Shiba/Inu/Corgi mix is a truly great companion. There aren't any visible signs that Simba was in a very scary high-kill shelter. He was lucky enough to be rescued after just a short time at this dismal Texas facility. This was due to his very engaging personality and warm, fuzzy ways. We picture Simba as the best friend to retirees or a family with dog-loving kids who have the time for a fuzzy best friend. He'd be so loyal.. and overjoyed to share his love and good will. There's also no question that Simba would be the most popular guy on the block. He loves to engage and just be his entertaining, adorable self. Even though Simba is usually up for pretty much any activity, he's never pushy or yappy. Exercise..perhaps a walk to socialize with neighbors or a fun hike..and mental stimulation that comes from his time with his humans is important to this pup to keep him happy and well-behaved. it's not that he requires extensive amounts, just enough to keep him healthy and stimulated.
Simba would also enjoy time with kids (very gentle please..no tail pulling or poking). He's such an easy pup to bring along to any activity. You can just grab a leash and he's so happy to accompany you anywhere. His tail is always wagging with joy saying...Let's Go! Simba derives so much pleasure from his relationships, we would love to see him in a family that just loves him dearly...he's a great guy who deserves this in his life.
This adorable and really humorous Shiba mix is a lightly shedding pup. Simba will therefore require periodic baths and great nutrition to keep his cotton-soft as healthy and shed-free as possible.

Simba will be arriving on transport in Denver on 2/27/15. If interested in this very sweet pup who is truly an exceptional and fun companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
