My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Polly. I am an absolutely adorable little chocolate beagle girl. Foster mom says I have the most beautiful golden eyes she has ever seen. I’m a petite little girl and weigh only 20 lbs, which is perfect for sitting on laps and snuggling. This is my favorite thing in the whole world to do! I am probably one of the best snugglers out there. I just melt into foster mom’s lap. I also love to give kisses. And let’s not forget the belly rubs. Who doesn’t like those?

I was a little scared when I got here and just hung around with foster mom and looked to her for reassurance. It only took me a couple of days with plenty of love and reassurance, and now I’m not scared anymore and am having a great time.

I get along with the other dogs here. I like running around the yard and playing with them; although I do prefer to hang out with foster mom. I follow her everywhere she goes and keep her company. I love to play with toys. I like squeaky toys and balls and nylabones and any other kind you can think of. I didn’t like where the toy box was placed so I am in the process of moving all of the toys out of it and into the dining room. I like them much better in there under the table.

Here is something you probably never heard a beagle say before: I am a slow eater. So I need to be separated from the other dogs at mealtime so they don’t try to take my food away once they are done with theirs.

I am doing really well at housetraining. I had a few accidents when I first got here, but am doing much better. There is this neat little bell on the handle of the door and I have learned to ring it when I need to go out.

I don’t like being in the crate and will fuss for awhile at first. I eventually settle down though. Foster mom leaves the TV on for me and it helps me. I probably won’t need to be crated at all since I am very good and don’t get into any trouble. I like to lie in my crate in the evenings if the door is left open especially if one of the other dogs lies in there and snuggles with me.

If you are interested in an awesome little snuggle bug that wants nothing more than to shower you with love and kisses, then please ask to speak to my foster mom. She has so much more wonderful things to say about me.
