My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a little snuggle bug Benji is!
This 9lb 4MO doxi/min pin mix is just a cutest bundle of love. Benji was found as just a little baby on the streets of Houston, TX. He was scared and cold, being found on the coldest day of the year in Texas. A very nice civilian took Benji and his two sisters to the closest animal shelter, thinking they were doing the right thing, but in reality, very few dogs make it out of the shelter alive.
Farfel's Rescue was not going to let this little family be euthanized, so we spoke up for them, and oh man are we glad we did! Benji has just stolen everyones heart here at Farfel's Rescue. When he is a little nervous he will bury his head in your neck, and wrap his arms around yours, as if he was giving you a hug. He warms up very quickly, and loves to play. He pounces on his toys and wags his whole little butt when he is trying to play with you. His foster mom just raves about how much she loves him, and how much fun they have together. Even though he has the face and ears of a dachshund, he has the legs of a miniature pincher. This is great for a small hiking or running buddy. He is just the perfect size for a lap dog, but also a dog that wants to be outdoors with you. On top of his beautiful coloring and adorable ears, he just has the cutest little underbite in the world. He looks like he is permanently smiling! His fur is longer and softer than a pure bread min pin, and it feels like the silky fur of a long haired dachshund, just not AS long.
Benji has been working very hard on potty training and pretty much has it down. He learns so quickly! Benji also loves other dogs and would be very happy to have a brother or sister to play with. He is just a very easy going dog and loves everybody and everything, even kids!
